Mohammed inspects Central Region's schools, projects

UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum made a field tour to a number of schools, health centres and community service projects in the Central and Eastern Region today.

Sheikh Mohammed began his tour with a visit to Al Maseer Elementary and Secondary School for Girls in the Al Shoaib area of the Eastern Region, where, accompanied by the school principal, he inspected a number of classrooms and looked in on lessons taking place there.

During his second stop at Sharjah's Al Mudam Health Centre, Sheikh Mohammed met with staff and reviewed medical equipment in use at the health facility. This was followed by a visit to Al Mudam Secondary School for Boys, where he inspected classrooms and met with pupils studying there.

After passing by the new Dubai-Fujairah Road, currently being built by the Ministry of Works at a cost of Dh1.4 billion, Sheikh Mohammed paid inspection visits to Al Dhaid Hospital, the offices of the Ministry of Environment and Water in the Central Region and Al Burdi Elementary School for Girls in Al Dhaid.

Sheikh Mohammed expressed his pleasure with the status of the strategic service projects being implemented in the Eastern Region, stressing that his government's strategy prioritises the education and health sectors. He also remarked that the wise directives of UAE President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan are being translated into action on the ground to secure citizens' welfare and future.

Sheikh Mohammed concluded his field tour by stopping at Zayed Housing Programme in Falaj Al Mualla, where he reviewed residential units which were earlier delivered to UAE citizens.

During his tour Sheikh Mohammed was accompanied by Minister of Public Works Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Cabinet Affairs Minister Mohammed Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Education Humaid Mohammed Obeid Al Qattami, Minister of Health Dr. Hanif Hassan and Commander General of Dubai Police Lt. General Dahi Khalfan Tamim.
