Lubna calls for bolstering joint action mechanisms with Azerbaijan

H.E. Sheikha Lubna Bint Khalid Al Qasimi, Minister of Foreign Trade, stressed today the vital need for bolstering mechanisms of joint action and materialising creative ideas for building solid trade relations and increasing trade and investment exchange with Azerbaijan.
''The UAE and Azerbaijan have an ideal opportunity to boost joint economic, trade and investment cooperation under the remarkable development drive in the two countries,'' Sheikha Lubna said during talks with visiting Azeri Minister of Economic Development Shahin Mustafayev.
''It is important to accelerate steps for boosting joint cooperation and clearing all obstacles hindering the flow of trade exchange,''she added.
She called for encouraging the private sector to tap the investment opportunities under the economic reforms in both countries.
The Azeri minister, who is heading his country's delegation to the meeting of UAE-Azerbaijan joint committee, affirmed that his country would do more to develop trade and investment relations with the UAE, given its prominent economic profile regionally and internationally.
The two countries, he said, had wide horizons for further developing bilateral bonds and removing snags facing them.
He said his government would like to benefit from the UAE expertise in trade, economic development and terminal management.
During his visit to the UAE, He announced that he would visit a number of UAE companies operating in the sector of renewable energy and free zones.
