Mohammed attends workshop on leadership development

UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum attended a workshop for the Leadership Development Programme, which was held at the Ministry of Health today.
The programme is being run as per Sheikh Mohammed's directives to develop the skills of second and third tier leaders, so as to prepare them to assume positions of leadership in the future.
Sheikh Mohammed exchanged views with the workshop participants, who expressed their great pride over the support given by the country's wise leadership in building a highly-trained national work force.
Following a briefing on the programme's goals, expected results and achievements, Sheikh Mohammed expressed satisfaction with the active participation of the select group of UAE citizens in the programme. He stressed the need for all programme objectives to be met, and called on each participant to expend their efforts and employ their knowledge in serving the country and its institutions.
Sheikh Mohammed highlighted the large number of government policies and incentives put in place to provide opportunities to young citizens by encouraging them to cultivate their talents, so that they may achieve their goals.
He also described how upcoming legislation and policies will concentrate on the Ministry of Health and the Federal Healthcare Authority, a new body, which will be launched in the near future. The authority will be tasked with managing the country's hospitals in accordance with the highest international standards, to meet the needs of UAE society, thus mirroring the government's expectations and plans.
Minister of Health Dr. Hanif Hassan expressed his gratitude for the great support given by Sheikh Mohammed to UAE youth, and went on to pledge that his ministry's performance will rise up to meet the aspirations and ambitions of Sheikh Mohammed's directives.
The workshop was also attended by Cabinet Affairs Minister Mohammed Abdullah Al Gergawi.
