Khalifa, Mohammed receive Sultan Qaboos

UAE President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan held talks with Sultan Qaboos bin Saeed of Oman, in the presence of UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, at Al Rawdha Palace in Al Ain today.

Sheikh Khalifa welcomed Sultan Qaboos who is heading a high ranking delegation on a three ? day visit to the UAE, which comes within the framework of continuing coordination between the two countries' leadership to enhance cooperation in all fields.

After reviewing ways to enhance the distinguished fraternal relations and mutual cooperation between their countries, the two leaders exchanged views on number of issues related to their countries and the other GCC countries. They also reviewed the current situation in the Arab world, as well as the latest regional and international developments.

Sheikh Khalifa expressed his desire to boost bilateral ties that best achieve both peoples’ aspirations.

Sultan Qaboos expressed pleasure at visiting the UAE as part of the continuing coordination between the two countries.

Sultan Qaboos earlier arrived at Al Al Rawdha Palace, where he was welcomed by Sheikh Khalifa, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid and Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed. Other sheikhs and senior officials were also present at the reception.

Following the meeting, Sheikh Khalifa hosted a luncheon banquet in honour of Sultan Qaboos and his accompanying delegation.
