Gobash meets Arab League official

H.E. Saqr Gobash, Minister of Labour and Chairman of the National Media Council (NMC), received today Yasser Abdul Monein, Director of Technical Secretariat of the Arab Information Ministers' Council.

The meeting, which took place on the sidelines of a symposium on Role of Arab Media in Countering Terrorism current being held at the Emirates Center for Strategic Studies '&' Research (ECSSR), reviewed agenda of the extraordinary meeting of the Arab information ministers which will be held in Cairo on 24 January 2010.

Abdul Moneim extended gratitude of Arab League Secretary General Amr Mousa to Gobash for the efforts being made by the NMC in collaboration with the ECSSR to organise the event as part of Arab and international drive to fight the menace of terrorism.

Later, Gobash also met the official spokesperson of Kuwaiti Interior Ministry and Director of Security Information Department, Mohammed Al Sabr, who is currently participating in the three-day symposium.

The Kuwaiti official presented the minister with the shield of Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior and a collection of the Department's publications.
