Mohammed opens Arab Health Exihibtion 2010

UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has inaugurated the 35th Arab Health Exhibition, the Middle East’s biggest gathering of medical and healthcare professionals.
After cutting the traditional ribbon announcing the exhibition’s official opening in the presence of Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Sheikh Mohammed toured the different sections of the exhibition.
Over 2100 companies from 70 countries are taking part in the exhibition, being held over the next four days at Dubai International Exhibition and Convention Centre.
Sheikh Mohammed began his tour with a visit to Zaabeel Hall where giant German companies, General Electric, Dubai Health care City and other renowned companies are exhibiting their latest medical equipment and technology. He was briefed by exhibitors at different stands about their exhibits.
At the Health Ministry stand, Sheikh Mohammed was briefed on the new information system being adopted by the ministry as part of its strategy until 2015 in implementation of the Federal Government Strategy.
Sheikh Mohammed’s second stop was at the Mubadalah stand where he saw designs for the new Al Ain Hospital and another for the new Al Mafraq Hospital.
Sheikh Mohammed also visited stands for British, American, Chinese, Korean, Hungarian and other companies.
Sheikh Mohammed went on his tour to visit Dubai Healthcare Authority where he was briefed by the Authority’s Director General Qadhi Saeed Al Marshoud on the latest medical technology being used by the Authority’s hospitals. He also reviewed a design for Sheikha Al Jalilah bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s Paediatric Hospital.
Sheikh Mohammed expressed satisfaction and pleasure over the huge participation of Arab and world participation.
Pointing to the numerous exhibitions hosted by the UAE, Sheikh Mohammed said that the UAE continues to command the trust of companies and countries, which reflects the great faith the international community has in the UAE’s financial and economic sectors.
The opening was attended by several sheikhs, ministers, dignitaries, senior officials and healthcare professionals from all over the world.
