Mohammed attends opening of Meydan racetrack

UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum attended the opening of the iconic Meydan Racecourse, the world's largest in term of area today.
Sheikh Mohammed accompanied by Dubai Crown Prince, Dubai Deputy Ruler and Minister of Finance Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Chairman and members of the Meydan Board, toured the different facilities of Meydan.
The opening meeting saw the holding of the 2010 Dubai International Racing Carnival and will continue until 27 March, the date of the US$ 10 million Dubai World Cup.
Chairman of Dubai Civil Aviation and Chief Executive of Emirates Group Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority Sheikh Majid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President of Al Shabab Club Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, other sheikhs and senior officials were also present at the opening meeting.
