Mohammed receives Emir of Qatar

UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum received the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, and his accompanying delegation at Za'abeel Palace today.

Sheikh Mohammed gave a warm welcome to the visiting Qatari Emir, after which they discussed a number of issues of mutual interest, as well as ways of enhancing bilateral relations in the common interests of their peoples.

The meeting was attended by Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabr Al Thani and Chairman of Dubai Civil Aviation and Chief Executive of Emirates Group Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum.

Following the meeting, Sheikh Mohammed hosted a luncheon banquet in honour of his guest and his accompanying delegation.

Also attending the banquet alongside the meeting participants, were Dubai Deputy Ruler Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, FNC Speaker Abdulaziz Abdullah Al Ghurair, Chairman of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority Sheikh Majid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, other sheikhs, ministers, dignitaries and senior officials.

Concluding his brief visit, Sheikh Hamad departed the country from Dubai International Airport, where he was seen off by Sheikh Mohammed, together with Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Deputy Ruler and Finance Minister Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Deputy Ruler Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Civil Aviation and Chief Executive of Emirates Group Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority Sheikh Majid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Qatari Ambassador to the UAE, Abdullah Mohammed Al Othman, and other senior officials.

Sheikh Mohammed had earlier been present at the airport to welcome the Emir of Qatar and his accompanying delegation on his arrival.

Also there to greet the visiting Qatari leader were Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Deputy Ruler and Finance Minister Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Deputy Ruler Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Civil Aviation and Chief Executive of Emirates Group Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Director of Dubai Ruler's Court Mohammed Ibrahim Al Shebani, Director of Sheikh Mohammed's Office Lt. General Musabbah Rashid Al Fattan, the Qatari Ambassador to the UAE, Abdullah Mohammed Al Othman and a number of senior officials.
