Mohammed meets Gulf education ministers

UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum held talks today with members of the Bureau of Education of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), representing Gulf Arab states, as well as the Republic of Yemen.
The meeting was held in the presence of Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum at Za'abeel palace today.
After welcoming education ministers from across the Gulf to the UAE, Sheikh Mohammed stressed the importance of focusing on the quality of education to allow their countries' citizens to flourish intellectually, scientifically and culturally, so that they may contribute to development in their homelands.
Sheikh Mohammed called on the ministers, including UAE Minister of Education Humaid Mohammed Obeid Al Qattami, to boost cooperation and coordination, as part of efforts to find education solutions, while utilising the latest technology to prepare students to enter higher education.
Concluding his remarks, Sheikh Mohammed wished the group success in their upcoming meetings, urging them to attain the goals and aspirations of their countries and peoples.
The meeting was attended by Chairman of Dubai Civil Aviation and Chief Executive of Emirates Group Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, as well as a number of ministers and senior officials.
