Mohammed visits encourages excellence

UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum went on a field tour to a workshop for staff from various local and federal government departments, organised by the Dubai Government Excellence Programme, at the Dubai Police Officers' Club today.

The 180 workshop participants gave Sheikh Mohammed a warm welcome, saying that his visit provides them with much support and encouragement in building robust national institutions, under the guidance of UAE President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Sheikh Mohammed called on those present to pursue more training and study, and to take advantage of all opportunities provided by the government and its leadership to develop their skills, so that they may better serve the state and its institutions.

Addressing the workshop, Sheikh Mohammed described the participants as role models for future generations, who will benefit from all their work and experience. He went on to praise the efforts and perseverance of staff from the Dubai Government Excellence Programme, urging them to expand their seminars to benefit the largest possible number of government employees.

Concluding the tour, Sheikh Mohammed was briefed by Ahmed Nuseirat, the Coordinator General of the Dubai Government Excellence Programme, on his organisation's objectives, as well as the personnel involved in rolling out their initiatives.
