Mohammed meets with Indian Prime Minister

UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum met with Indian Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh at the Cabinet Office in Delhi today.
During the meeting they reviewed a number of economic and political issues, as well as ways to bring about peace and stability in the region, so that people may have access to healthcare, education and decent living standards, especially in areas of conflict.
The two leaders also discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the UAE and India in a number of fields, including economics and culture, to strengthen the bonds of friendship between their countries and peoples.
Dr. Singh warmly welcomed Sheikh Mohammed's visit, describing it as continuation in a series of relationship building meetings between their countries.
The meeting was attended by Dubai Deputy Ruler Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Civil Aviation and Chief Executive of Emirates Group Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Director of Dubai Ruler's Court Mohammed Ibrahim Al Shebani, UAE Ambassador to India Mohammed Sultan Abdullah Al Owais and a number of Indian officials.
Earlier this afternoon, Sheikh Mohammed arrived in India as part of a friendly visit to his neighbouring country. On arrival at Delhi Airport he and his accompanying delegation were received by Shashi Tharoor, Indian Minister of State for External Affairs, a number of senior Indian officials, Mohammed Sultan Al Owais, the UAE Ambassador to India, and embassy officials.
Sheikh Mohammed departed the UAE from Dubai International Airport this morning, where he was seen off by Dubai Deputy Ruler and Finance Minister Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority Sheikh Majid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, other sheikhs and senior officials.
Sheikh Mohammed was accompanied on his trip by a high-level delegation comprising of Dubai Deputy Ruler Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Civil Aviation and Chief Executive of Emirates Group Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Director of Dubai Ruler's Court Mohammed Ibrahim Al Shebani, Commander General of Dubai Police Lt. General Dahi Khalfan Tamim, Governor of Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) Ahmed Humaid Al Tayer, Director of Sheikh Mohammed's Office Lt. General Musabbah Rashid Al Fattan, Chairman of Dubai Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation Sultan bin Sulayem, Mohammed Juma Al Nabooda, Director General of the Government of Dubai Media Office Ahmed Abdullah Al Sheikh, Dubai Director of Protocol and Hospitality Khalifa Saeed Suleiman, UAE Ambassador to India Mohammed Sultan Abdullah Al Owais and other senior officials.
