Increasing the government salaries by 70%
All federal government employees received 70 per cent salary increments from January 2008.
As per the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has ordered that the basic salaries of federal government employees be increased by 70%.
Beneficiaries of the increasing include the Interior Ministry's civilian employees and security personnel and former security personnel who receive pensions from the Interior Ministry.
The increase in salaries went into effect in January 2008
