The comprehensive government communication strategy and the establishing of the Government Communication Office, which conforms to the global technological achievements in the field, substantially aim at improving the internal and external communication channels in the federal government and ensuring a high degree of transparency and accuracy of information passed among various ministries and other federal entities.
The office, which functions within the General Secretariat of the Cabinet, and enormously supports the strategic plan of the federal government, has introduced a number of initiatives, one of which is the Government Spokespersons Program. The initiative aims to ease up the work of media institutions when dealing with the federal government, and ensure speed and accuracy in conveying government information to the general public .
The Government Communication office works hand in hand with the media and communication departments of all ministries and federal entities to develop media and communication plans that correspond to their needs. Additionally, the office aims to streamline communication among ministries, as it works on enhancing the team spirit within the federal machinery. Ultimately it will contribute to the achievement of the general objectives of the federal strategy of governance.
