Highlights of the Ministry of Education’s Strategy 2010 - 2020
Education is a public mandate to prepare today’s youth to rise to tomorrow’s opportunities. It is the foundation of a functioning society and prosperous economy through the development and nourishment of strong human capital. That is the development of active and proud citizens, aspiring to learn throughout their life, capable of competing in an increasingly global knowledge-based economy.
The UAE has come a long way on its educational journey, making significant advancements in eradicating illiteracy and enhancing numeracy and sciences.
Driven by its commitment to continuously provide its future generations the best in class student education, the UAE Ministry of Education has developed a student centric 2010 – 2020 strategy. It follows months of in-depth studies, global best-in-class practices’ review and public consultations.
The strategy is implementation and results oriented. The outcomes will be measured by student performance improvement, better school life, increased equal opportunities and a greater sense of National Identity. The Ministry of Education’s main aim is to achieve excellence in the execution of its strategic objectives and improvement initiatives to build the required, competitively differentiated human capital of the UAE.
